Just Fix IT

I fell into IT support rather by accident and it became my passion.  I took the long route and became self taught and learnt from a lot of mistakes.  Each step along the way made me better and better.  I set a daily challenge to learn something new every single day.  Eventually I became the GO TO GUY.  I found that my skill set was more relevant than others with formal IT qualifications.

I started off working for various ISP providing telephone technical support.

Eventually I graduated to home and business field support.  I loved the work but hated the attitude of trying to bill the customer as much as possible for everything.

This did not sit well with me.  So I left the company I was working for so I could start my own business.

I knew most of the customers would follow me and I was not disappointed.

Although I have a full time IT job in government I still make time in the evenings to look after my customers.

My customers appreciate the fact that they can call and email me and I can often provide a quick solution.  Free of charge.

I never charge more for parts and never give them bad advice.

This sits better with me and I could never go back to the Geekmobiles and Supergeeks or Geeks4u.

I decided to create this blog to share some of the knowledge I have picked up along the way.
