Soniq and Okano Tv : sound but no picture.

I purchased these tv just over a year ago and within a couple of weeks of each other the screen stayed blue.

I learnt this was from an energy saving feature that plays up.

Here is another fix.

Upgrade Procedure
1. Copy MERGE306.bin to empty USB flash drive
2. Connect USB flash drive to USB port on TV
3. Switch on unit
4. Press SOURCE button and then enter 2580 on remote
5. Factory menu will pop up. Select Software Update (USB) and press OK
6. Power indicator light will flash between red and blue during upgrade.
Do not power off at this stage. Doing so will render TV unusable.
7. TV will go to standby mode when upgrade is finished
8. Repeat step 3 to 4 and select Restore Factory Def. to reset unit. Unit
will then go to standby again.
9. Switch on TV again and follow on screen instruction to scan all
channels again.
